Orange County Library System
The Orange County Library System (OCLS) includes 16 locations in the Orlando, Florida area. The OCLS is focused on providing unique and innovative library service. New programs include the Virtual Library Card provided to all students in Orange County Public Schools (giving them easy access to digital resources) and the Social Worker @ the Library program (to provide help in navigating the network of social services and government programs).
Morphic will be pilot-tested at the Chickasaw Branch, located in east Orange County near Valencia College. Opened in 2015, it is a popular spot for students and both young and old members of the community.
The Chickasaw Branch offers public computers with internet access, word processing, and online reference resources, plus a computer lab for classes in English and Spanish, and a "Fab Lab" with 6 computers, a 3D printer, and language learning software and classes. Morphic will be installed on all of these computers for use by staff and library customers.
