Hollywood Worksource Center
The WorkSource Center, located at Los Angeles City College, is one of 16 centers operated by the Economic and Workforce Development Department of the City of Los Angeles. Hollywood WorkSource is operated by Managed Career Solutions.
Under the WIOA Act, WorkSource Centers offer free and comprehensive employment services to adults, dislocated workers, veterans, and other vulnerable populations. These services include job training, computer access, employment skills workshops, referrals, and career guidance and program placement assistance. Free business services are also offered to employers.
Hollywood WorkSource also hosts city and state grant programs for serving individuals with disabilities (Disability Employment Accelerator), the re-entry population (LA:RISE and LARCA 2.0), and a work program to employ individuals in wildfire clean-up crews (2018 California Megafires National Dislocated Worker Grant).
The WorkSource Center began work with the Morphic Team, with an early version of the system offered as an option for customers in September 2017. Morphic 1.0 is now available on two of the site's customer computers.
